A short quote from a short book

I recently started rereading The Fault In Our Stars by John Green. It may be meant for young adults, but it’s got some serious gems in it for us all.
Tonite I read this; I couldn’t agree more.

Grief does not change you Hazel. It reveals you.

It may be suffering, it may be death or it may just be loss of another kind. But I believe this to be true. As we go through life and hold grief’s hand, our true selves surface. So instead of wishing that self away, turn towards it. There is so much to learn.
